A Note About Handmade
Every piece I create is thrown, sculpted, carved, glazed, and cared for by my hands. While I strive for uniformity in measurements, designs, and colors…I am not a machine. Please understand that no two pieces are exactly alike- which also makes your piece exclusively yours! I hope you appreciate the beauty of these small differences as much as I do :)
Purchasing
I only sell my pieces through this website aside from some small businesses that carry my work. Click on the stockists tab at the bottom of the page to see the awesome businesses that support my art!
I strive to have a release/restock once a month- with that being said, each release will not have the same designs as the last just to keep everything fresh, but expect to see a consistency in size (liquid, food capacity) available. The best way to be in the know about an upcoming release is by following updates posted through social media or signing up for the newsletter at the bottom of this page.
The prices for my pieces are determined by the item’s size, difficulty to make/design and materials used. I try to be accessible to as many people as I can, but at the end of the day each step in the process of making every piece is done by hand and will be priced accordingly.
At random times throughout the year I will have surprise sales, which will provide you an opportunity to get a piece at a discounted price. Another way to get a more affordable piece is through a Seconds sale.
Seconds
Since every step to creating a piece is done by hand, there is bound to be imperfections in one way or another. With that being said, there are two quality levels that I put each of my pieces in: Firsts (for first quality) or Seconds. Like Firsts, all Seconds will be safe and functional. The primary differentiation between Firsts and Seconds is their aesthetic quality. Here is a list of reasons why an item may be a considered a Second:
finished product did not meet my expectations
was a test for new a design or glaze(s)
Seconds are final sale.
Care
I recommend washing your item by hand, but all work is dishwasher safe! If doing the latter, I suggest placing your item on the top rack of the dishwasher. Please use extreme caution if microwaving, as ceramic will become very hot. Unless specified as bakeware in the product listing, your item is not oven safe. To avoid thermal shock, which can cause hairline cracks to form and ruin your piece, do not pour super hot liquids into a cold cup and vise versa.
Shipping
If you are local to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, you can select the local pickup option and send me a message so we can coordinate a plan to get your order to you!
I will pack up your order in about 1-3 days business days after purchase. Sometimes it will take longer due to the fact I am a one woman show. Orders can be shipped via expedited services, however there is an additional surcharge for this service. Tracking numbers should always be sent when your order is mailed and may be tracked through the shipping providers’ website. If you don’t receive a tracking number, feel free to reach out!
If you made an error with your shipping information, you must contact me within the first 24 hours after purchasing your order so the necessary changes can be made. Once your package has left my home studio, it should hopefully get to you in about a week if you live in the U.S. Please remember I have no control of your package after it has left my studio.
I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages after a shipment has been marked delivered by the carrier.
Returns/Exchanges/Replacements
No returns or exchanges are accepted.
Every item is inspected before leaving the studio, but accidents can happen when shipping fragile ceramics. If an item arrives damaged, please send detailed photos of the broken piece, as well as the box with all labels visible. This needs to be done within 48 hours to allow for time-sensitive insurance claims to be filed and replacement/refund arrangements to be made.
Wholesale/Custom
I am currently not accepting new wholesale stockists and custom orders. However, this is subject to change depending on my schedule. Please understand that I am human and can only take on a certain amount of orders at a time. If interested, please contact me for more information.
